Reviews for "NICO"

Ok.. So I tried playing this under judgement and figured I would wait until after judgement to pass judgement. I thought perhaps the comments section would shed some light on the problems I seem to be having. Alas, there is nothing here yet. So, let's get started.

First, generally I love the stuff you put out I don't tend to have problems and the games tend to be really fun, almost invariably 5 star games..

I am sure this one would as well, however, I can only make it to the third area (with the small pyramid of blocks over the lava and signs pointing into a pit). At the bottom of the pit the signs suggest you go down there are two blocks I can't seem to get past. I have gone through every key on the keyboard but I am still thinking that there is simply something that I am missing and that it could have something to do with the other two problems that I am having.

1) The game doesn't seem to fit entirely on the screen. I suggest this because in the first area you can drop mostly off the screen (maybe this is not a bug but intentional and the thing with the carrots is more an easter egg/secret than anything else) I figure there could be a sign I am missing.

2) The F4 key (listed as a command in the first room) doesn't seem to do anything for me. I wonder if this command is supposed to do something that would let me pass. I do find it odd that a function key has been set as a control.

I have tried playing the game in Chrome, Opera, and Edge and on multiple computers. I waited to post to see if other people had problems or if maybe things were updated. Despite checking it on multiple computers and browsers I still figure the problem is likely on my end, you aren't exactly new to this. So what am I doing wrong?

Edit: And complete. Thank you!

Before I finished the spider level I would have agreed that a save would be nice. But after I finished it I realized there wasn't too much left to the game and so a save at this point probably isn't required. In fact (because it was a pretty fun game) I kind of wish it was longer. As I said previously in my review your stuff is always top notch and well worth playing. You put out a great variety of games so it is always a pleasure to see something new from you. Keep up the awesome work!

Sorry for that, i just upload a new version with that fixed
This game was made in Game Maker 8, all Gamemaker games use f4 to resize window, but when i convert the game to Game maker Studio for HTML5, this version dont use the traditional funtion keys, F1 shows info, F5Saves, F6Loads, F9Screenshot..., on desktop version it works, but on html it doesnot, new version comes with NO F4 BOTTON anymore. the key is missed on instructions es double down to cross some grounds, that instructions in on first level
The game seems not to fit on the screem, but it does, is just the dark effect that shows only the 100x100pixels of light

good job! this is quite a fun little game, I enjoyed the level variety and simple puzzles to solve. overall, a nice diversion.

I was gonna leave 4,5 stars for an impecable retro experience. But I changed my mind when I heard Nico's scream when he **ACCIDENTALY** (yeah sure) slipped into the lava.

gotta love when your head is attached to the above solid platform cause by
repeatedly pressing up.
nice game.

So cave paintings are made of turds. Hmm i think that's an adecuate ending for a caveman lol.
