Reviews for "Ollie & Scoops Episode 2: Funny Face"

Holy fucking wholesome.

This is 10/10. On multiple levels.

So the first bit about Ollie & Scoops I thought was simply charged to be overly 'safe' because of it being a pilot.

Lo and behold, you crank out a second one and it REALLY drives home the whole package. The entire bit is rooted on counterweights of the pro+an/tagonist but the way it's presented vs the outcome is sublime. Instead of making it about 'lol the blonde bitch is losing her shit what an endless loser', you present the notion that perhaps she loosens up if she gets a little bit of love.

GREAT fucking storytelling and overall premise.

Goddamn I would have loved to watch this show as a kid.

ADULT SWIM. WHERE THE FUCK ARE YOU? PICK THESE CUNTS UP.

Great animation, sound engineering, etc. Solid package.

Keep at it,
-CO

OllieAndScoops responds:

Thank you so much!! Stay tuned for future episodes featuring Julia Goldburger, we really dive deep into her personality (and possible development...) as the series goes on!

Seriously! this. was. AMAZING! it was funny, it had that wacky art style you'd see on saturday morning cartoons at 9am before school, it was great all around! you could get this on an actual tv network if you wanted too!

OllieAndScoops responds:

Thank you!!

It's like something you'd catch on a Saturday morning.

OllieAndScoops responds:

Thanks!

Grey Griffin! I knew that was a professional voice actress working on this! The animation was awesome. That cat is so darn cute. That darn cat! I love how cartoonish it is. At the same time, it seems to be kind of realistic.

I mean, the cat talking just seems to be her fantasy. Well, maybe it is some kind of superpower. It's still a cute setup. I'm glad this got these awards. It's so much fun.

OllieAndScoops responds:

Ollie definitely can talk to cats, for real. She has a special gift! Thank you for watching!

I notice a hint of inspiration from Ren and Stimpy...would my assumption be correct?
If so, keep it up. Because even great ideas can come from looking at examples.

OllieAndScoops responds:

A lil' Ren and Stimpy, some Rocko's Modern Life, some Simpsons, and a lot of classic Disney, Fleischer Bros and Looney Tunes theatrical shorts! This show is inspired by tons of good stuff.
