Reviews for "The Gods Are Angry"

I like the style. But the pacing and sound design I thought where meh. The latter is really grating at times. The idea is pretty nice, but I wasn't really invested.

Not bad, but the whole time I was distracted thinking "is this guy wearing a shirt and pants and still living in an era where they're tossing people into a volcano to appease the gods?"

F1Krazy responds:

People wore shirts and pants back in the toss-people-into-volcano days. I didn't know what other outfit to give him :P

this game is incredibly simplistic, but incredibly good. The story seems to have a lot more roots than what is shown, like who wrote the scrolls, or who are you? I love the graphics in the game too, really simple but still nice. My only problem with it is the thunder kinda hurts your ears and the ominous tone in the background isn't exactly pleasing either. Other than that, 9/10! Short and simple, but a good play.

F1Krazy responds:

Thanks! I will readily admit that sound design isn't my strong suit, but I'm glad you enjoyed the game anyway!

Short but sweet. Would love a sequel.

Hmm, I just figured, was about to ask "Wait if I'm the sacrifice why I'm picking the letters", because I'm just another sacrifice, should have left the letter tho, for others to see, now it is just lava ash.

Cool idea but short and too simple.

F1Krazy responds:

That did occur to me as well, about halfway through development. Let's say you're just reading the scrolls, and not actually picking them up and taking them with you. They disappear and appear in your inventory because vidya logic. Something like that.

Apologies for the simplicity as well, it was really the best I could do within Ludum Dare's time constraints.
