Reviews for "Super Key Boy"
Graphics are decent, even though it's short, just a single level. Everything has the makings of something that could be fun. There could be more responsive controls, or you know, an ending.
Give me a menu and at least a restart or reset so I don't have to hard refresh the page. Okay, also, how about an ending? Overall, it's pretty simple and doesn't really scale in difficulty. Don't think it's bad, just want more.

Please understand, you're asking people to comment and critique an older game you made for a specific competition with specific rules and guidelines from a 2018 game Jam. What you need to expect, is that your game is going to get compared to standards and trends of the community RIGHT NOW, which is already backlogged with tons of new games. If you had uploaded this three years ago when that game jam was going on, I guarantee the rating would be higher, substantially higher, and it would be better received overall. If you're uploading the game just to keep a record of it, then don't ask for comments. If you actually have plans to make updates or improvements to this game and want thoughtful comments and critiques, I've listed them below in a better format. I would love to come back and revise my score accordingly when you update.
(+) You have nice graphics and sprites and SFX.
(+) It's funny and sort of trolling me - I found 5 lyric set (jumping on the bed, pineapple pizza rant, foxy zebra farts, cat smells like poop, farmer feeds his sheep).
(+) It's a lot of game for 24 hour competition. Great Job!
(-) There's no other interface functionality such as restart or menu, I have to hard reset the page to replay the game.
(-) I can't get any endings or consequences (good or bad).
(-) Would be nice to have Hi-Score Tracking.
(-) The falling messages are not always in sync with the music beat. Since the window to get a positive reaction/score out of a note is so small, this gets frustrating, especially on the farmer and pineapple song.
(-) Only the actual 1 song, so basically still 1 level, and after about 10 plays, it gets repetitive fast
I think there’s something fun here, and this was probably a great upload for a game jam, but, it would be really nice to see you finish it for Newgrounds. Anyway, I'll be on the lookout for updates!
