What in the f*ckens?
That went to cute to horrifying and creepy, such a great job at the transition.
Lovely animation as well, always a pleasure to see the old cartoon style from the 40's
thank you
Full disclosure, gore for the sake of gore isn't really my thing.
Not sure if 3D was the way to go for the ending. I get that using 3D animation when having already established a 20s/30s era aesthetic is supposed to be alien and unsettling, but if the viewer goes from "oh that's a character getting flayed by a robot" to "oh a weird purple meat pylon" they might feel more confused than unsettled. I don't really know what I'm looking at. I just know that I'm supposed to be horrified, as our protagonist is having her mind blown. On that, I'm not sure if close-up shots lend themselves well to the rubberhose aesthetic.
The monster is supposed to be beyond Pippys comprehension, which is why it's 3D. my thinking was "imagine if people from the time saw this and witnessed a 3D character" it would of blown their minds though not quite as literally as in the animation lol
Still, you make a fair point. Thanks for the feedback
p.s. I added the gore cause I wanted to animate intestines in the style of rubber-hose haha was surprising fun
What the fuck was that monstrosity
