Reviews for "Broken Sentences"

This game genuinely annoys me. Not only is the grammar in the sentences atrocious, it's boring and has no substance whatsoever. It bills itself as educational and yet many of us can look at them and go, "This is wrong." You need to NOT sir.

shajby responds:

Why do you play game that annoys you?

Stop making educational games in English, shajby. You don't speak English well enough. If you must create educational games, either use your native language or consult a native.

shajby responds:

Thanks but no, I will not stop. Those sentences are not from my head, I would never try to put there my own sentences! Thanks for support!

Game idea is really interesting, but it could've been better honestly, for example, more solutions to a sentence, still a good game though!

shajby responds:

Thank you!

There are multiple cases of scrambles which have more than one solution, but only one is marked as valid each time. (Example: "Cats do not usually sleep at night" is, while technically more correct, rather less natural and common than "Cats usually do not sleep at night".)

Most importantly, there are some cases of scrambles in which the ACTUAL SOLUTION IS INCORRECT. (Example: "From where do you come?" is marked as "Where do you come from?" And "She smiled when she saw me" is marked as "When she saw me she smiled", despite the latter missing a comma.) That's pretty unacceptable for an allegedly educational game. And yet there's a paid version of this, really?

shajby responds:

Adverbs of frequency are put directly before the main verb. There is nothing wrong with Where do you come from? (I come from Germany). Thanks! (btw paid is free for some time)

Not fun at all. The loud buzzer is obnoxious.
