WHO WOULD WIN:
- a magician of the highest caliber, able to cast Level 50+ spells; or...
- one floaty rocky boi?
Really, the only thing I think there is to hate about this game is the sheer number of obstacles in your way. Playing just by sound alone, it's almost impossible to tell whether you've hit a butterfly for experience, or a boulder for a quick end to a potentially amazing run. It's honestly interesting, though, to see what kind of spell combinations work the best (or by the end of the game, what spell boosted to its absolute maximum can provide the best run). So far, the only thing I've actually seen that really gets a super-long run (like, damn near 50,000 meters) is max-boosted Mine Field. And I'm still only at Wizard Level 9. If Level 10 has anything better awaiting me, I cannot wait to see it.
FUN FACT: If you cast multiple copies of Level 251 Force, you will actually go BACKWARDS on every even casting (2nd, 4th, 6th, etc...)
EDIT: So good news and bad news...
...the good news? I think I've gotten the maximum record possible for distance within the most reasonable amount of time, i.e.: less than five minutes.
...the bad news? The game doesn't really seem to like it when I go 10,000+ meters per second, and the graphics really glitch out. And by "glitch out", I mean the screen trembles like it's in an earthquake, and all the icons and alphanumerics start to stretch and distort. I had one instance where it looked like the screen was still scrolling, but my height and distance meters had completely erased themselves from existence, so I had no way of knowing if I'd fallen through the ground or if, by some miracle, my chicken was still going.
