Okay, reading comments, I do think I did a bit better on a second try... but the interface isn't very helpful in knowing what to do at first. In the final game, will you gain more hearts in total at the beginning of a battle, the more of them you win?
Seriously needs a tutorial. Perhaps more than any other game in the last year. It could be a good game....but not as it is. The hearts seemingly can only be used pre-battle, the swapping of forces can only be done pre-battle, there's no explanation for how the hearts fuel the abilities, durations, effects of multiple hearts, does unlocking one monster of a type unlock all of that type -or just that one?
If not for the author comments below, even discovering that the hearts unlock abilities would have been impossible.

Um... Am I supposed to be able to do something? Right now there is absolutely no interactivity between the player and the battle. I tried clicking everything and so far nothing. When reading the description, it sounded like I was supposed to be able to move cards around, but so far I haven't been able to do anything other than watch all my side's characters die. I clicked the heart once and it did... something? But it only happened once and since then I still went back to being able to do nothing.

Thank you for trying it out. There are two controls: click to swap/rearrange your squads' spawn priorities BEFORE battle start; click to feed hearts to unlock monsters' effects anytime.
Very difficult, it took my 2nd or 3rd try to figure out that the hearts were fed by clicking on the heart in the corner of the card, and were supposed to be fed before they were sent out (there was no clarification on when or where you were supposed to click to feed them), and I wasn't able to move anyone around at all until try number 4, but since I don't know who is stronger to whom, that doesn't really help. Still haven't won. Frustrating and annoying more than anything else, sadly.
