Not sure if it is the end after getting the Gold you take lift and go below and after killing couple of zombies it just comes to dead end. If it is the end there should be warning that it is end of DEMO. Either way Awesome concept would love a long game maybe with a story to add to fun with Bosses. This game has great dynamics could be awesome Game.

It seems like perhaps putting a little more color here and there (like that light coming out of window somewhere after a monk) could make interesting effect

Awesome! Colors might be hard to implement though since the game is supposed to look a little gray and hopeless. I am slowly adding some more enviroments though which could give some difference in the visuals.
I'm sure many people say this, but it's like a 2-dimensional Dark Souls. I love the atmosphere and the pixelated art, and the gameplay is very fun. An amazing game, I'd love to see it outside of a demo.
