I'm not sure what the author is going for here. Are they programming breakout, or just putting music, brick layouts, and pictures into an existing breakout program?
With as many issues as exist in this game, I would recommend looking at the simple issues you're missing. A direct completion requirement would be beneficial (click to confirm a clear screen or whatnot), as it would prevent some issues where the level skips automatically.
As a matter of fact, ALL of the levels skip. By the time I've hit 5 seconds of music, I'm at the end screen.
I see that the author chose to be an ass to somebody who took the time to leave a review earlier, despite having 0 gameplay to speak of. A content creator of any sort shouldn't respond so negatively to criticism. Brick Breakout for "gallery games" is a pretty old concept, and really needs to be improved upon to be a worthy game. It *might* be an okay gallery, but I couldn't tell you, as the levels ALL skipped instantly.
The game *is* unplayable. I don't care if it works on maybe one or two existing browsers, it doesn't work on decent browsers. As you're the one who released the non-functional game, yeah, it looks as though no effort was put in.
To get offended at somebody pointing out the obvious is a ridiculous way to respond.
Did you create the images being used? That could be a decent reason as to why you're so defensive. If not, then you clearly don't understand what effort even is.
Effort is meaningless without results. Don't pretend that you think this is worth a 5-star review. You know it is not. Produce something that functions before you go getting whiny with people who see fit to give you feedback. Improvement is impossible when you think you're so goddamn important.
As far as programming Breakout in under an hour? Maybe not, it would depend on your experience with programming. However, Breakout programs exist and are easily modified (for flash, Java, and other languages). If all you wanted was to put a gallery behind a game of Brick Breakout, there are plenty of ways to do so in a very short time frame.
Make a functional game, and maybe it'll get better ratings. This, however, is nowhere near ready to be on NG. Get offended if you want. I won't pretend to care.
