If you pay way too much for some stupid crap, that's on you. Think of it as the idiot tax. If someone is stupid, and also has too much money, someone else will find a way to separate the idiot from their money. If anything, those who are truly valuable are underpaid and have too little say while idiots are overpaid and far too much say, which is one reason people hate stupid rich people.
As for all this overpriced clothing store and jewelry store nonsense, notice who that's aimed at. There is huge gender bias with at least 95% of clothing stores either being women's clothing only, or, if a store has men's clothing as well, it's usually in this extra tiny spot where the bulk of the store is women's clothing. And I don't know too many men who buy all this jewelry -- that's also primarily a woman thing. So the people blowing all this money all the time are likely the rich wives of some rich assholes, and other assorted overprivileged types.
My kind of stores would be used video game stores, (good) arcades, music stores, electronics stores, computer stores, book stores, and of course the mall food court because you probably want something to eat after walking around the mall all day. And you'll find all that stuff in malls as well, although not every kind of store in every mall.
Maybe do a rant about these crappy arcades versus the good arcades that were more prevalent in the 80s and 90s. All these stupid chance-based crap for tokens, or just really boring generic games, rather than the skill-based awesome games of the 80s and 90s. I mean part of it is you need actual good taste in video games to make good selections for an arcade, or at least go with tried-and-true like a Ms. Pac-Man machine.
The rant on skateboarding in the mall parking lot was weird and I disagree with you on that. What there need to be are decent free, public skate parks, and these exist in some places. Let's make more of those. As amusing as having skateboarders dodge between cars that are trying to run them over to get a parking spot is (and might actually make a decent video game, if done right) it's probably not something the malls want to deal with, for legal liability reasons.
