Reviews for "Let's Keep Trying"

Obviously not much of gameplay, but good message, although somewhat cliche, it is something that needs to be reminded to people often because it's easy to fall into compliance as people have short memories and resolutions.

Nice music although it seems the same as in your other games.

You should still have added some gameplay to make this perfect. Fallowing your dreams is not boring most of time, it should be something you love doing.
Also rocks and trees won't always fall to make path for you themselves for just trying, you must also make the path yourself.

Cool message and all, decently put together, but the only fun part was a bug where if you tap left while walking right you start moonwalking. So please don't fix that bug.

The jump button does not work most of the time. I've had to go through so many cheap deaths not only because the jump button decides whether or not it wants to work (which most of the time it doesn't) but also because of game design. The music and art are nice, but that's all this game has going for it.

I get the idea, but I'm not into the game. While I understand that killing the character and then repeating the level is how you're supposed to progress in the game, the result is a very repetitive experience for the player. There's not much reward for continuing on, as you only get one small section further before being forced all the way back to the beginning, not through player mistake but through sheer game design. While small things change and allow you to progress every time you die, its in such small ways you're essentially playing the same level from the beginning over and over and over.

I personally had no drive to keep trying after a handful of deaths, because rather than having a chance at success that I could achieve with practice, I was forced to fail every time. It got boring and frustrating pretty quick. I finished the game because I wanted to write a fair review, not because I was engaged and wanted to keep playing it.

As a player, what keeps me motivated to finish a game is a combination of entertainment and challenge. While the premise of this game is interesting, the visual style is nice, and the music is awesome... it's very easy/simple, and VERY repetitive. I think you need to rethink the mechanics, and find a different way to communicate the moral of the story. I hope you do revisit this, because the idea is good, and the rest of the game is made very well.

It's a nice message to build a game around... but the mechanics don't convey it very well. :/
