I get the idea, but I'm not into the game. While I understand that killing the character and then repeating the level is how you're supposed to progress in the game, the result is a very repetitive experience for the player. There's not much reward for continuing on, as you only get one small section further before being forced all the way back to the beginning, not through player mistake but through sheer game design. While small things change and allow you to progress every time you die, its in such small ways you're essentially playing the same level from the beginning over and over and over.
I personally had no drive to keep trying after a handful of deaths, because rather than having a chance at success that I could achieve with practice, I was forced to fail every time. It got boring and frustrating pretty quick. I finished the game because I wanted to write a fair review, not because I was engaged and wanted to keep playing it.
As a player, what keeps me motivated to finish a game is a combination of entertainment and challenge. While the premise of this game is interesting, the visual style is nice, and the music is awesome... it's very easy/simple, and VERY repetitive. I think you need to rethink the mechanics, and find a different way to communicate the moral of the story. I hope you do revisit this, because the idea is good, and the rest of the game is made very well.
