Nice retro look and idea but it's really sluggish; sometimes the jumps are even abbreviated.
It would also be helpful to provide info on what the diamonds and outlined boxes are for,
and really... two hits by a bogie bat kills you? Polish it up and it might be fun.

Thanks for your feedback! Sorry if the game seems slow, it's a game that I made in a week for a jam and I had little time to optimize it to run smoothly on a browser. Other than that, thank you for your take on the difficulty of the game and the overall cohesiveness of the mechanics, it's something I definitely want to get better at.
