Reviews for "Cream"

This is simply the perfect allegory for the plight mankind is currently facing. It's a problem I've been trying to come to terms with for some time now, and I'm happy to see someone else facing the same concerns. It seems that no matter how far we get with technology, and how much good mankind can do, someone is always trying to stifle that goodness for the sake of some weird economic game that never ends. These people with so much power seem so concerned about their own dumb games that they completely miss the point of technological innovation in the first place. We're supposed to advance technology because it advances the species, yet all we do is melt these great innovations, that could do so much to improve the world, down into mere shells of their former glory that can more easily make a buck for those at the top.

It baffles me how self-centered and short-sighted these so-called "captains of industry" are, while those who create these technologies are left to see their creations bastardized until their practically useless to the greater good. It's an idea that seems so hard to share with people, and I sincerely hope that this short can somehow spread that message a little further. Truly a modern masterpiece here on Newgrounds, and I couldn't be more glad to have seen it. Truly a must-watch.

So the message here is that, no matter how hard you try to make everything perfect, some idiot will come and destroy all that progress for the sake of ignorance, greed, or simply because they don't care.

I hope that's correct.

I think i get the message here, and as its made by doki of all people its obiously some cryptic yet obvious stuff.
The man created cream, a material that could perfect life and take away every problem, this led to both happiness, sadness and emptyness. The world's problems were fixed, but that caused bigger problems to occur, such as feeling empty and like there is nothing to do in life since its all so simple to solve. The main cause of the cream apocalypse is the discovery that it can duplicate food and even itself, meaning that food markets, or anyone who doesnt sell cream couldnt make money, but they had cream, so it wasnt a problem. The world seemed perfect.
That didnt last forever, as with everything perfect, some people did not want to continue this, filled with greed. By that day forward the rumours on cream started, "it causes terrorism, it gives people aids, the creator is a pedophile, its made out of babies", which caused controversy.
Due to the controversy, cream was an easy subject to tackle and take appart, so "food piracy" became illegal, because the world came back to it's original non perfect ways.
And the controversy continued, starting more rumours, and eventually making cream illegal, all due to people rejecting perfect life, influenced by greed and ignorancy.

I could see this as a full length movie tbh. I loved the styke of animation and just goes to show how powerful Money and the media can be.

it really sends a strong message and has a very cool animation style.
