Cool idea, but the stealth doesn't work - as soon as I'm within range of an enemy and not blocked by a door or wall, even if their vision cone hasn't touched me, they know I'm there and make a beeline for me (and will continue going straight toward me even if an obstacle DOES come between us, like me moving behind a wall - they don't seem to have good pathfinding).
Half a star because, even though the basic gameplay doesn't work, I do like the idea.
You could hold 'SHIFT' key to sneak around enemies and for more instructions, HOLD the 'H' Key for help & instructions.
This is a game maker/editor more than it is an actual game.
I would first build a campaign before releasing this for review. Keep the map maker, but have it separate. I would also, if possible have the same and export file type as txt. so someone could just copy and paste levels instead of having to select files...far more efficient and user friendly.
OK so as for the actual game. first off, change the goal from red to green. you have enemies as red, so red is bad, so its not very intuitive that players want to go towards the goal. Enemies also seem to have the ability to hear sound as well as being able to see? Which kinda makes the ability to sneak up and assassinate them without being seen impossible. right now you can just time the shots, walk into an enemy kill them instantly...so not really much of a stealth game with such a skill game.
cool concept though...needs alot of refinement.
The concept is all we need to hear :) As this has been a well received concept, we definitely would look into taking it to another level, way beyond the limits we had on a game jam. Unfortunately, the prototype game itself would most likely stayed in its state.
Also, shift key to sneak!
What even is this? Theres no tutorial, no real instructions, and no clue as to what you are supposed to do. Is it even a game? I have no idea!
Newgrounds used to have a community sharing feature. See if you can get in on that.
