It's a good game. It did crash for me at one point, but you were right when you said that everything would be fine after reloading the game. I played one of the earlier titles, and really only played this one because I had liked that other game.
It gets boring after a while to be honest. I'm almost done the easy play-through (after already completing the casual), and I'm not quite hooked.
I think that it has to do with balancing the cards. I am probably not doing it right, but I frequently have to discard cards. Not that this is necessarily a flaw, however.
I can't help myself from locking in my own play-style. I focus on trying to increase resource production, try to keep myself barely alive, and then just blast the enemy with ambushes and trojan horses.
4.5/5 only because the game can be very slow and is repetitive. I would say to add more card variety, but that is up to you.

i Might add a "magic bricks" card that gives 2x castle/wall build boost.
The game is good. The only problem I see is that some levels take too long because you don't get the right cards etc, and make you get bored. I was thinking of the game having an even easier mode where you get materials by discarding the cards. Maybe I am just bad at the game!
If you get cards that you don’t usually care about try changing your deck in the deck manager :)
The default deck is there to expose new players for all the different cards, but most players I know (from multi –player games) tend to change their decks to a specific style.
Some like to focus on building and reaching 100 the fastest, others attacking and crush your opponent. Then there is the most annoying style in my opinion, the sabotage style. It’s all about blocking you from getting resources and workers while they slowly get more workers and resources than you and eventually crushes or out builds you.
Try playing around with the deck composition I am sure you will find a composition that will suite your way of playing :)
There's a bug where the character is riding on elephant on the north, east and south in the map section.

I remember playing the original Castle Wars years ago on some website, and it was fun to re-discover the game with this new version!
The gameplay is smooth, the art is satisfying, and even though the rules seemed a bit complex when I first read the tutorial, I quickly understood and I became nearly addicted to the game :D

For some reason I draw cards twice when I start a game, but other than that I see no problems. This is a really fun game.
