Reviews for "DynoStory (1.02)"

nice moevement, but a bit short. Has potential, but cant be called a full game. Looking forward for part 2.

DynoStorm responds:

Thanks for playing!

This is kinda awkward but I think you missed part 2 cos you didn't wait an extra few seconds on the first credits room.

So if you beat part 1 and wait on the credits part 2 will automatically start ^^

If you play through part 2, feel free to give me further feedback via a PM!

Sorry but the music really killed it for me. I feel its necessary for the gameplay but it's just TOO annoying. The jumps feel a bit wonky and I cannot find some sense on where I'mgoing ot falling, and the scenery is not as beautiful as one would like to stare at for long times. Aside from that, wonderful work.

Perhaps it's sarcasm?

really cool game, just maybe when you die make it not reset you to the start.

DynoStorm responds:

You're in luck! I just added Checkpoints ^^

Very fun game and good graphics for a pixelated game. Honestly looks like a game you'd see on Steam!

An interesting game with potential, but I think it needs some tweaking.

There don't appear to be any savepoints or anything of that nature, so falling in lava - which seems very likely the moment you encounter it - forces you to entirely restart. I'm afraid I only gave two attempts to pass that point, as it became far too frustrating to return to that point after death. It might be slightly mitigated if you got to at least keep your powerups after death, but really its the walking through all the *very easy* levels prior to the insta-kill lava that makes dieing intolerable.

Also, I found a secret on the screen where lava is first encountered, but walking into it, while triggering a message to indicate I've found a secret, doesn't scroll the screen, so I can't appear to do anything within the secret area.

DynoStorm responds:

Thanks for your feedback! I've now added checkpoints ^^

Yeah that secret... I should consider scrolling the screen so the player can see what they're doing. You should be able to access the powerup there and there's a spring to bring the player back up but I guess it is a blind secret.
