Reviews for "The Legend of LUST - Hottie (2nd update)"

Guess who's back at it? ;)

Another month gone by, another Legend of Lust update for me to review. Before I get started, I just want to say that I do thoroughly enjoy both playing the game and writing these reviews, so thanks again for all your hard work, do keep it up!

Gameplay-wise, this update had nothing new (that I noticed, at least, sorry if I missed something), so i will instead take this time to go over a few minor things that i did not touch upon last month. The most important thing I can think of is that battles take a little too long at times, not because of the numbers or animations, but rather, the AI occasionally takes too long to make up its mind. I know this is an alpha game, but it's something that would be nice to have improved before we get to the more important (and presumably longer) fights. Aside from that, as I said last month, the gameplay is very solid.

Going on to visuals, I really must compliment you on the new scene, it was very well made, and hottie's dialogue over it added some nice flavour to the whole thing. I also definitely liked the rather "explosive" finish. Still, there were two minor things about the scene that i want to address. The first, and most important is that, while most of the new animations were very good, the animation on hottie's orgasm following the scene was rather sub-par. Something slightly more substantial would be nice (Something like what you had in REDnWET would work well). The second issue is minor, but i found that Lust's "size" in the hottie scene was somewhat smaller than it should be. Assuming that hottie and demonica are roughly the same size, i feel that lust should be slightly bigger in the first part of hottie's scene. I also feel that lust's testicles could stand to be slightly larger overall. Lastly, i know someone else mentioned this, but demonica's claws are almost invisible in her fatality animation, due to it being black on black.

This update was also somewhat lacking in the audio department, and this is really my major complaint with this update. Why was there no audio in the hottie scene? Even the ever-present song (which i'm not really a fan of, but that's unimportant, you've had enough complaints about that already) was absent, which really detracted from the scene as a whole.

Returning to world design and thematics, I really enjoy the "backwards swearing" where, instead of say goddamnit, hottie says devildamnit. It's an incredibly minor thing, but it adds some good character flavour, and helps get the demonic side of these characters across.

Playing through the game again, i actually noticed a couple of typos that i had initially missed, and i just want to point them out real quick. First off, when hottie is introducing Monica, she says that she was "chocking", which should instead be "choking". Also, in one of the very first textboxes, there's an out-of-place apostrophe in "freshly spawned lust demon's", which should be removed.

Last but not least, something I don't actually want to do, but have to: BUGS!
first off, one of hottie's textboxes in the battle caves randomly came up empty, but all the next ones were fine after I'd clicked onward. I also had two textboxes stack on each other, by clicking on demonica in the ego-chamber before hottie had explained anything. Finally, while messing around on the world map after finishing, I had the map of hell come up as a blank red screen, and had to use the header menu to leave it. I was, however, unable to reproduce any of these bugs.

I apologise if I have come off harsh this month, I really do think you're all doing fantastic work so far, and I'm anxiously waiting for the march update.

Stay resolute!

PS: HIDDEN SECRETS. They frustrate me so, and yet I love them. I'm always so scared that i'll miss something awesome...

PGSPOTSTUDIOS responds:

Hey Sun,
thanks for the review.

So... we will look into the bugs you mentioned, it is a shame that they are not reproducible... anyway we will check em out.
The battle is being worked on now as we are going to introduce more battles to the game. We hope that the new version will improve on the current version.
Audio will be added eventually during one of the coming updates. It takes a while to find the right tracks and fxs. Also we have a problem with that file as it is already too big... too many layers/frames... we might have over did it a bit.
Thank you for pointing out the typos. We will go back and correct em.
Anyway, we will go through the whole things and check if we can spot the things you mentioned and fix em up.
Thank you for taking the time to look into our game in detail and leave the review.
Cheers ;)
