This is going pretty well so far. Still missing CGs 6 and 7 though (probably just me missing something). And it seems this act doesn't reward exploring or focus on it quite as much as act 1.

True, as this act is more focused on narrative. You'll be getting a lot of exploration/reward in the next Act, which focuses a LOT on exploration and fooling around with side-quests and the lot.
CG 6 & 7 comes later, it's part of the storyline.
Good game. The problem are clear and that's good. the only 2 problem, for me, is understand how sblock the cg gallery and, when you begin another game, who you begin with the level obtained in the past game.
Im not sure I quite understand. Do you mean you want to be able to start new acts with the artworks you've already unlocked from the previous game? I'm afraid thats not possible at the moment although I do plan to release a downloadable version that skips past act one and unlocks the cg.
I am withholding my final review score pending the ability to get past the first town. I have restarted the game from scratch 14 times now and every time I talk to the boy he gets stuck in a loo of running to the town exit and vanishing.
I have made sure to talk to the man in the military camp before entering town every time and although the boy runs off to get/join him, the man is gone when I return to the camp.
Have tried exploring the town? I've made no changes from the First Act. Just enter Town Hall and you'll find the man again.
Game runs fine, combat flows pretty well, except for the occasional bit of lag. Can't progress past Dewfall town. i checked out the description of Act 1 and talked to Alphaeus and then the kid, but he just says that he needs a breather from running, then the conversation ends.
This is extremely odd. You're not the first to report this but I kept testing this scene again and again and it never goes wrong for me. It could be the load order screwing around since this isn't a consistent issue but one that pops up every now and then. I'll list this in the description as a possible bug but until then, I cannot say its an error in coding.
I'm a little sad that there weren't any extra CG scenes, but nonetheless, great addition to the game. I was sort of hoping to have to fight another boss but alas the two trials were enough. Nice job fixing the tent scene as well as solving the lagging issue. Looking forward to the next game
Boss fight and plenty of CGs will be introduced in Act 3 :>
