Reviews for "A Sweet Typing Thrill"

INTRO TLDR

LucidShadowDreamer responds:

It's fine ahaha! You're officially the first reviewer :D
That's a pretty neat feat ;)

I Really enjoyed the experience of this game. I am glad I didn't use a walktrough for this, because I think it would've ruin it. I actually wrote down the code for the final answer on a paper. deciphering the answer letter by letter made me feel like a real detective ^_^

LucidShadowDreamer responds:

Thank you, IceSquare!
It's awesome that you wrote down your ideas on paper! When making the game, I imagined some people would do that, and it sounds really cool. I think it adds an extra element of realism and enjoyability to the game :)
I'm glad you didn't use the walkthrough someone uploaded either! I think it's fine when people are really stuck on a level to look at one in order to move on. But it kinda ruins the 'secret ending' to find out how to get it through the walkthrough :p

I played the first one, and remember REALLY enjoying it and this one is the same. Currently I am grinning like an idiot because I managed to solve the last puzzle first time. As to my favourite level, I think it has to be the surname level, for the aforementioned reason. Definitely looking forward to the next one, if there is a next one.

Of course, why wouldn't there be? :)

LucidShadowDreamer responds:

Hello!
Awesome that you played the first one back in the day :)
I'm pleased to hear you seem to have fond memories of it too :D
Great job managing to get the last puzzle during your first play! It's one of my personal favorites as well, even though I think my very favorite is the voices one.

There will indeed eventually be a third instalment. But as I've told a few people earlier, it'll probably be a while until the time is right ^ ^

Thank you for playing and reviewing!

It's nice to see that your puzzle-making skills are still up to snuff. Fantastic really. It was even nicer to see that my puzzle solving skills were at the same level. Keep up the great games and the great work. Can't wait for the next and possibly last one. 'til next time! (btw, nice throwback.)

The next one will come eventually, but not for quite a while, because of all my other projects, studies, ect. I hope to see you back when I eventually do get to making it though :)

This was awesome! I love puzzles and riddles and this type of game was a little new for me, what with it being on the internet. I did get stuck on Rotate for a little bit, but once I figured it out the whole rest of the game was an absolute breeze that I sailed right through.

I do think it could have been harder as it ultimately took me just under 12 minutes to beat once I figured Rotate out. However, in terms of the gameplay, it was seamless, and actually visually appealing despite the lack of graphics. I also really enjoyed the music too, kudos to you on that. I'm looking forward to the next one!

LucidShadowDreamer responds:

Thank you, sndub26!

It's great that you enjoyed my game. The difficulty varies greatly from person to person; if I make it too difficult less people will ultimately end up liking the game. But I don't want it to be too easy either!
Rotate is a bit of a "out of the box", I suppose ;)

I'm glad you liked the music and visuals too! Hopefully, you'll enjoy some of my future games once I get to them. Thank you for playing, as well as for your review! ^ ^
