Freak SHow

its soo beautiful and creepy ^^

A pretty fun game, challenging but not too frustrating. I'm not nuts about the pixel-hunting elements (clock room, doll room). I prefer when there's some level of intuition or figuring out involved, rather than just "click on every single one until one of them reacts".

*SPOILER*
I do have a big question/issue with the electric chair room. Well, two, actually. The first is a small gripe, more just me whining, but it was annoying that the button would activate whenever you clicked while the "Don't press this button" text appeared. Even if you weren't actually touching the button. I was clicking around the room to see if there were any hidden elements, and I happened to be passing by the button and didn't stop myself from clicking when the text appeared and *ZAP* So much for sparing him. So that's just a little annoying because I hadn't actually decided to do it yet, it was just an accident because the hit range is so big.

But that's not my real issue, like I said, that's just a nuisance in the mechanics. My real problem, or question, is: do I have any other choice aside from pressing the button? It feels kinda lame to present this moral dilemma, but not present any other options. Even if the option were to sacrifice myself to save him, or take his place, or some alternate ending where I do the right thing at a cost (or get rewarded for making the right choice, seeing as I get punished at the end for making the bad choice), that would be better. But instead, I'm presented with this moral challenge, do you kill the man to save yourself, but there's no other option, aside from just turning off the game. If you're going to present an ethical choice, then there should actually be a choice, a way to play out both options. Especially since, at the end, you're punished for killing the guy (by being put in his place for the next victim to kill), it's pretty lame to punish the player for a decision that they had no power to control. So yeah, that's my main criticism. Unless you tell me that there actually is another option/ending, and I simply didn't find it, in which case I'll play the game and see if I can (but seeing as I've gotten all of the medals, it doesn't seem likely).

Anyway, despite all that, it was a worthy way to kill a bit of time, so thanks for posting it. I wish you the best in future games and projects.
