Reviews for "Space Exploration Horror Game - Teaser (Early Alpha)"

Looks amazing, which doesn't surprise me because I have seen what you can do! Keep up the good work my friend! Never give up and never forget those of us who are always rooting for you

Vilehead responds:

Thank you! And I will do everything in my power to not disappoint you. Thank you for bearing with me and my chaotic mind :)

Great stuff! Especially the colors and the atmosphere. Keep it up!

Vilehead responds:

Thank you very much :D I am very inspired by original Unreal color palette. Kind a glossy, kind a dirty, lots of colors, eerie.

I really like the graphics and the atmosphere. However, some effects (such as lights) seem a little incomplete to me

Vilehead responds:

Oh its earliy Alpha. Thats why I call it "teaser". Its more to show the overall vibe of the game. The light will get worked out soon. I just started to go low on motivation and wanted to show my work to the world. to maybe regain some momentum.

Looks dope, but how is the gameplay?

Vilehead responds:

Amazing :) Silent Hill mixed with Interstellar.

To not spoil the joy of surprise:
Its a very early alpha. I've been developing this thing for like 3 weeks so far. So there is not much of interactions as of now. But there will be plenty. Kind like a Don’t Starve in space. So a survival horror sandbox... but in space. Explore, expand, experience... and try to stay alive when doing so.

There are couple of progression systems in place. Mostly because I just couldn't make up my mind lol. There is:

1. Ship modules
Like reactor techs(energy output), engines techs(how fast you fly and maneuver), shields techs (how much beating you can endure), Guns (various kinds), Special systems(that enables you some special moves, but with a cooldown and energy consumption) and Radar techs (how far your sonar see and how accurate it is).

2. Captain Skills
Which improve over use (like in Elder Scrolls saga) but they function as a +% bonus to Ship Modules. So 100 points in Combat makes your guns twice effective.

3. Data base
Which functions as ingame encyclopedia of creatures, objects, places and what they do and how the affect the player. You expand it by interaction. Kind like Pokedex in Pokemon hehe

I'll add that Captain Skills are specially useful as there is a "New Game+" option in the game. Where you start from the beginning but you keep some chunk of your skills.

It seems like an interesting take on spaceship games. I mean I'm fucking bored of games where all you do is shoot your lasers at other ships.

About time we had a fucking change, and if I'm not mistaken DroneLocker made that weird and creepy game Antumbra or something, so I do expect to see a lot of gore flushing on my face once I find that mischievous alien.

Also I hope I can control that fucking light because it can be a minigame on it's own :D

Vilehead responds:

Hahah! Thank you kindly! :D And yes - I need to balance the light.
