Reviews for "Dobuki's Epic Journey"

The characters are kinda cute, and the dialogue is definitely amusing. Buuuuut.... 1) This game freezes quite a bit in Firefox 2) The room-changing mechanism isn't very consistent and often leaves you clicking around trying to get in somewhere 3) The inventory button is in a terrible place and the ability to click on Dobuki to load the inventory screen is redundant and annoying during gameplay 4) The difference in strengths between the initial enemies (Slimo) and the next level of enemy (Bat) is too big, leaving you getting your butt kicked by Bats whenever you can't run away 5) The mouse-only navigation is a little annoying. I'd suggest WASD movement, getting rid of the circular zones you need to both click on AND walk on to change screens, and maybe adding a fast-travel map. Cute graphics, fun dialogue, and Emperor Lik Wang got you 3 stars.

Yeah some enemies get a bit strong, but you do upgrade your character and get better gear at the game progress.
Thanks for the feedback, i'll keep that in mind.

Looks good and I probably would of rated higher if the dialogue wasn't so dang slow/lagging. Everything you clicked on was super slow the only spots that I saw that didn't from what I played was the poster part the bed part and the do you want to read the tutorial which I spammed the no button while yelling hell no I'll be there till next winter waiting for the tutorial to finish. If everything was sped up or the culprit found that is causing it to slow down it would probably be a great game but as it is right now I'm not going to waste my time waiting for each line to finish.

jacklehamster responds:

You can accelerate the dialog by holding the mouse down BTW, so hopefully that helps.
