Reviews for "No Evil 017: Direction"

Wow,
This story gets more and more amazing!!!!!!!!!!
Can't wait to see what's reveal's next!!!!!!!!!!!

Splendid, as always.

I applaud your endless strides in improvement because each iteration in the 'No Evil' universe that you've so carefully wrought is an obvious and clear step forward from its predecessor.

The audio in this is crystal. It is well balanced and seems more naturally organized than your previous attempts. You've made the transitions subtle and use sounds and music in perfectly sized portions to either intone significance or to add atmosphere whereas previously it seemed more haphazard.

Additionally I would be ignorant to leave out the fact that you've also fleshed out the voices and accents for your characters. They seem more consistent and sound far less 'forced'; natural. I wouldn't be surprised if the voice actors somehow have incorporated a bit of themselves into the characters they represent (vocally or otherwise).

I know that I mention the audio during each review- but I truly marvel as to how you took this to heart and recognized that in storytelling the inclusion of sound (and for that matter, spoken dialogue) is incredibly crucial to flesh out appropriately so that the viewer's immersion is never impeded or perturbed. You've accomplished this masterfully. The ending chime is perfectly placed and plucks at the emotions subtly.

Needless to say that's not the reason why this piece stirred in me the sudden need to write a review. It is your storytelling. Actually- to be concise, it is the balance between storytelling, character development and the manner in which it unfolds which inspired my soapbox tirade.

The way that Xochipilli (You'll have to pardon my ignorance, I imagine that the fellow with the hearing loss is Xochipilli) is introduced seamlessly and effortlessly is splendid. There is little focus placed on that. The who, what and why goes out the window because of how the main progression in this instalment is the story and rather the inter-relational dynamics between lore, characters and circumstance. This focal distribution dismantles my initial curiosity and supplants it with an emotional investment in what is going on and the mystery of the trident/songs. Brilliant displacement.

I'm always happy to see your work- and I'm glad that my gut feeling was right. You have something beautiful that you are crafting and perfecting over time.

I would truly love to see what you could accomplish with the aid of an entity like Studio Yotta behind you. You've already enchanted this skeptic with what you weave.

Keep at it,
-CO

Amazing, as always.

The story continues, and I'm still on the edge of my seat. Top show!
