Reviews for "Whitewash"

Wow! This game is effing great. It's like Hotline Miami on acid (in a good way)
I would definitely pay for this game if it costed money because it has that premium feel to it.
The controls are tight and responsive and the gameplay is silky-smooth.
This game is great, and I see great potential with this becoming a series.
5/5

GraveDangerGames responds:

Thank you so much, glad you enjoyed it!
This is the first iteration of a game I'd like to bring a step further!

it feels wonky the music is loud and annoying it doesn't have instructions no story the music is repetitive and the camera shakes to much when shooting or getting hurt everything is obnoxious but you have a good idea going on fix these problems and might give it a better rating.

GraveDangerGames responds:

Hi!
What do think would require instructions?
Music tracks are selected randomly when the level starts. Did you get the same track too many often? Or is it just that you dislike this kind of music?
I did wanted to create some sense of gunfight confusion, using the obnoxious music, no hud, overlapping text and all that together. This is a free game so I went all the way to experiment with stuff :)
Thanks for playing, your comments are useful!

Decent game, but was a bit repetitive. The opening dialog telling me to pick up the gun was a nice touch.

GraveDangerGames responds:

Thanks :)
Yeah, didn't have much time for variety, that's why I stopped at 12 short levels and roughly 30 minutes of gameplay.
I got big plans for the next game I'll build off of this!

Not bad, but the controls are a little slow and clunky and it's a little too much like hotline miami

GraveDangerGames responds:

Hi! Yes, I'm a big fan of HM! Played it to death and this project started as a minimalist version of it. But then, along the way I played a couple of excellent Vlambeer games and thought it would be fun to mix both styles together.
On a side note I'll see if I can optimize things better, because I get both "smooth" and "clunky" comments about the controls... which is weird.
Thanks for playing and leaving a comment!

Music is annoying, graphics are dull, dialogue and enemies are repetitive, and it just isn't fun.
