Reviews for "Seppuku Jisei"

Filthy gaijins would never truly understan the meaning of comiting sudoku
in a serious matter the game is quite fun and challenging with a good replayability level

SebShady responds:

Thanks for playing :P

so funny how japs brainwashed each other into killing themselves for the purposes of control by making them think there was some honor in it

This game is really fun and has a great story. It has a few bugs such as enemies that don't die from one hit, but other than that I found it really amusing. Good work there. I'd love to see more games like this from you. Thanks!

SebShady responds:

Glad you enjoyed it!

I like the dark atmosphere. Samurai setting is nice too. However, the atmosphere is partly ruined by not fitting graphic style and environment. If I hear about concept like this, I imagine faded colors, battlefield there burnt grass and trees, lots of dying warriors, loneliness, despair and so on. I am not expecting bright green grass and almost cartoonish violence.
Gameplay itself is remind me about melee battle of 'Hotline Miami', but very simplified. The whole game isn't hard at all. Well, It's good for these, who want just read the poem.

SebShady responds:

Yeah, I definitely agree that the graphics are one of the weaker aspects of the game. Art is not my strongest area! Thanks for playing :)

Interesting.

What really captivated me the most was the ending story. Because from the start it was all about someone's end. So I really wanted to see his end.

The art is simple and it doesn't really add much to the game other than the mediocre ambience. But thankfully it doesn't get in the way of the story. The animation is stiff but it doesn't really matter being a game of a story. Either way it is short and easy. Most likely to show of a short haiku.

There really isn't any other features. It really concentrates on his last testament. Which is the story. If you added anything more into this game it would probably ruin the game as a whole revolving around the storyline. But goodjob.

SebShady responds:

The story was definitely the focus, in retrospect. I'm glad you enjoyed it :)
