Reviews for "Dots: Revamped"

I like this game. It refreshes by adding a lot of stuff to avoider games. The artisti is obviously quite dedicated.

I recommend.

It's an avoider game, not that much fun these days.

Are there upgrades? because your skull moves way too sluggishly. It's OK if that's just a base speed and can be upgraded later, but I didn't see that.

Starblinky responds:

If you play longer than 5 seconds, yes there are upgrades.

Don't know what blue dot rampage is/means/does.

And boring otherwise.

I like the concept, but my main problem was the controls were more like a Buick than a Prius: it was hard to get moving, and hard to STOP moving in a certain direction, even for the fastest characters. I'm not talking about lag, I'm talking about momentum. So far I haven't run into any abilities that help with that problem, but I have been repeatedly killed by my own momentum, frequently during slow-downs to announce an item, where my controls don't seem to count.

Jimp's art is, as always, adorable, and his color scheme is impeccable.

The sounds and music are good, nothing too grating even after half an hour.

Tips for fellow players:
-Even with characters with the most speed, you are only slightly faster than the quickest of the enemies. Since it takes you time to start and stop, don't get closer than you have to.

-Eat as many enemies as you can during rainbow mode. With good planning you can clear the screen of at LEAST half.

-That said, rainbow mode does not last very long at all, even with extra boost and the longest rainbow mode characters, so choosing invincibility for 4 seconds after rainbow mode can really save your bacon.

-Try out many different characters. Speed is definitely not always your friend, but lack of size can come in very handy.

Starblinky responds:

Thanks for the review.
I heard that once before that the controls might be too slippery, its the same as the first game though so I kept it as it. Perhaps I should have looked into it more.
Also I appreciate you played it for half an hour ^_^

Cute, like it
