WTF just happened???
The Last Soul is one of the most bizarre games I've ever played on newgrounds. The object is to... well... there isn't one really. You just go to sleep, and then reach the end of the extremely short platforming level to watch a cut-scene. I get the feeling there was supposed to be a theme going on here, but under these crummy graphics and lack dialogue it didn't make a whole lot of sense. And the ending.... holy shit, that ending...
Gameplay is comprised of 3 extremely short levels. You have to run across moving platforms, and if you fall, you die, and have to restart the level over again. But with how short the level is: it isn't much of a penalty. Levels can be completed within 15 seconds... I'm not kidding! Times three, and you have 45 seconds worth of level design. If you include the cut-scenes and the bedroom exploration, that's another minute & 15 seconds added on, so it's about 2 minutes to complete the game all-together. The game is so short that you might as well call it a f***ing demo!
Now the game does do one thing right. It has the eerie-like atmosphere for suspense. Unfortunately, you won't care in the end because it fails to hold it up. I keep thinking this game is a parody of something. And if it is then how come it's not listed in the tags? There is so much disappointment everywhere in this game....
- It should be saying "Play Game" instead of New Game because there is no game to resume.
- The animations look like shit.
- Gramour error "What do you think they are you doing?"
- Why is the guy sleeping with his clothes on?
- There's a bug where in dreamworld, if you fall off a platform just before the moving platforms appear to allow you safe passage, you will glitch out of existence. There is no fix and you must refresh the page.
A lot of work to be done here if this is to ever be a good game. I don't think the potential is lost, but it does need a graphics update, it needs longer and more levels, and it needs better story development to keep players hooked. Again, if this is a parody of something that I'm missing then I withdraw my statement regarding the potential, and will instead say that there is no hope for The Lost Soul. But until then, the final verdict is a 2 out of 10. It is way too short for anyone to think that this is a good game.

Good game and history.
There was a glitch that I found. In the first interactive dream, when traversing the disappearing bridges, my character fell and then nothing happened. No game over, no reappearance of the character, just nothing.

It also happens that I try to fix it, but I could not, I'm not really an expert in creating games like this, but I made it through history. But if you wait you can move normally.

The story is promising, it just needs more detail to really be able to understand it.
