Reviews for "The Front Door"

Awesome!!!!!!!!!
This brought back so many memories of the original games.
Though, this could really use an opening menu.

Where have you been all my life?

Honestly, this is one of the best Mario videos I've ever seen. I dig your art style; its use of simple colors (as opposed to major details and shading) creates an interesting mood for the movie that I think works really well. My favorite little gimmick here is the way the characters become silhouettes at times, such when Mario flies out right before entering the first door and all you can see is his red shadow.

I also really like the way you depicted Mario here. Even though he retains his appearance pretty faithfully (big nose, funny mustache, a little bit chubby) his mannerisms throughout the flash really make him look like a valiant hero. That's what he always was to me, even though he doesn't look like the standard hero.

I was surprised you actually went through all the rooms of the final castle in Super Mario World too; it's a great throwback (I have a lot of memories with that castle) and it makes me think of the rooms as the trials that Mario has to go through before finally facing Bowser, which gives it an epic feel that I kind of forgot about over the years. I would have loved to see Mario fight Bowser, save the princess and triumphantly ride back as well (out of admiration for your style), but I'll take this for what it is. And this is art. Really, really good art that deserves 5/5!

Solid animated tribute to one of the greatest games of all time.

Love it!

That remastered song is fantastic too.

The music was made by Mark Soto, and it's the reason I did this animation it was so good!

This is awesome!
The atmosphere, animation and music is nostalgic and captivating!
I really loved it and i was anticipating for Mario to enter the Boss room!!
But it was a good choice for the story telling, its about the atmosphere and the aura that matters
The fact that we didnt see him enter is just making me going to my GBA and playing the game xD
Good job!Keep it up!
P.S:I like your style,it reminds me this:

The seriousness of the music and the general tone told me this was not going to be a parody, but a dedication. Kudos for that. I giveth you five stars, but you might want to stop it from looping.
