I'm fairly certain this was inspired; there were some really clever ideas in here. The ending had that little twist that ties it all back to the exasperated sigh, the characters all looked so haggard and worn, and the way you used the old quotes to give this idea of an internal struggle....very good stuff!
I thought it was great. Its true that we have an overabundance of parodies, but I think you had ideas worth sharing.
