God this is a great parody. It almost seems like a parody on the room. Sonex sounds very much like tommy wiseau too.
The quality of the animation was pretty good and hence the score being higher than zero but where this failed was clearly in the writing. I generally don't have a problem with parodies unless they're either wholly unoriginal in concept or subjectively unfunny. This one falls into both categories. I'm guessing the primary joke was about a mistranslated version of sonic? That's pretty funny in concept, however it wasn't "translated" very well in this cartoon. Something that would have made this clearer is if the opening were to make some indication of this being a foreign production and putting foreign cultural references throughout the cartoon. Of course I'm not even sure if that was what you were going for in which case the jokes are either sight gags or is "lol2random4me." Furthermore, if the content of this cartoon were to be applied to subject matter that wasn't iconic it would still fail and would garner far less viewership. The inclusion of a popular cultural reference was little more than a crutch for lazy writing. I'm somewhat disappointed by this parody considering SleepyCabin's statements to the contrary of what makes a bad parody this past MAGFest.
Friendship part I watched 5 times - it is epic. Overall really great work in animating, voice acting, scenes. However I cringed hard at this fart noise at intro - seriously, what for?
Great animation (Sonic's and Tail's design looks way better than the one in Boom, despite that not even being your goal here). Good parody on all sorts of cliches, good music choices and of course... good timing!
Oh and the Author Comments made me laugh more than the video itself! :D
