Reviews for "Myosotis Chapter 5"

Well, it feels like it was rushed, to be honest. (which it probably was) It doesn't really have that type of storyline that the other Myosotis' had, and the lack of instructions for the puzzles were slightly confusing (walkthrough helps a lot). And, with the continuation of the storyline, it didn't have the type of ending that I was expecting, but the sort of "happy for a short time" or "happily ever after...For now" ending.

But, despite all of the small faults made in it, it was a good game. Plus, a continuation to the series like this is better then no future game at all, right? Oh, also, on another note, I understand that you were rushed with all of this, but, it was a good game, and I look forward to your other works as well.

Challenging puzzles, and an awesome soundtrack. Looking forward to your future games.

I'm kinda dissapointed :( i looved the others chapters , they were amazing, but i didn't feel the same about this one sadly :s

Great atmosphere and ambient, the puzzles were interesting as well, nice Job

Thanks, I appreciate it :)

While it wasn't exactly the Myostosis installment I was hoping for, Chapter 5 was in no way bad. Just...anticlimactic. All of the tension and build up in previous episodes just sort of disappeared. I think the puzzles here were more challenging than past games, but at the same time I felt the lack of instruction made it impossible to intuitively figure out each riddle, especially the fifth puzzle (I looked at the walkthrough and I still don't get it). These gripes aside, the series' usual charming presentation and noir atmosphere pull the whole thing together. However, when the next episode comes along, I hope that the puzzles can have that last little bit of polish and the suspenseful mystery that made the series memorable can return to the forefront.

6/10

ImpendingRiot responds:

All fair points, I really appreciate the review. At a certain point I felt a little backed against the wall, in terms of gameplay. 5 games with at least 5 puzzles each, at a certain point I feel like I need to shift the way it works. The format probably should be adjusted a bit. But that's on me, that's my responsibility as a game creator. I just didn't want people thinking the series was entirely abandoned, while I pursue a few larger projects. I'm really *really* hoping to begin work on a proper, full length game-game. Like for Steam and what not.

Anyways, all of that is to say thank you for the thoughtful review.
