Reviews for "Tap Heroes"

Very nice. Nice graphics, and feel.
Though the pause between purchasing upgrades is a little annoying and I got the "reach area level 100" achievement when I haven't gotten past area level 44.

I have a poor trrack record with games of this type. I get addicted. Good work.

Incidentally, could you add like a button for me to buy like 100 of an upgrade at once? It takes far too long to spend all my money when I look away for a couple hours now.

ii was at level 799 and saved the game. when i started my pc again i lost everithing now i'm back at 1 help

In this review, I'm specifically gonna talk about the things I DIDN'T like, but I can briefly go over the things I did like.

Tap Heroes is a pretty fun and interesting game, I haven't really seen an RPG/clicker/idle-game hybrid before. (I'll talk about Clicker Heroes in a bit). The gameplay is fun, but (like almost all idle-games) it gets boring pretty quickly. The gem-system is a nice idea and it's neat that you can deal damage and heal with your cursor.

Resemblance to Clicker Heroes:
One might say, that Clicker Heroes is an RPG/clicker/idle-game, but it only really looks like an RPG, it doesn't really play like one. You kill enemies, but they don't actually fight back, so I wouldn't call it that. It's clear, that Tap Heroes was inspired by clicker heroes, but that's fine. A lot of good things were inspired by other, popular things.

Lack of Content: I got to level 100 in two days, and now it's just always on auto-forward. Some more upgrades upgrades, equippable gear/accessories, some more abilities for the characters would be nice (maybe a fire spell for the mage?).

Gameplay: It's fun at first, but quickly gets tedious (~ level 20), because the monsters take FOREVER to kill. This became better at ~level 60, because my warrior was getting really strong and fast, and it went back to the enemies dying pretty quickly. When I started writing this review, (Which took me about half an hour) I was at level 119, now that I'm done, I'm at level 152. As you can obviously notice, you get farther very quickly at that point (which I'm fine with).

Balancing: The Rogue's poison get's pretty useless later on, because all the enemies die rather quickly (before the poison has any real effect), but his stun arrows are OP when you've maxed them and use "Arrow to the knee" (lame and obvious pun btw). By doing this, bosses very rarely to never attack (for the 30 seconds the skill is active), and even when it runs out, they still take forever to attack you, which makes it pretty easy. For example, the dragon boss only attacked me twice, afterwards, he was stunlocked for the rest of the fight.

As for clicking, I barely ever used it after ~level 30 (just for healing during boss fights), and didn't even need to heal anymore at about level 70.

The Inn and health potions (but especially the Inn) seem pretty useless, and I don't think it's worth spending your valuable gems on them. Why'd you need an Inn, if you have a Mage that will fully restore you with 1-2 cast? The same can be said for the healing potions. They might be useful early-game (never bought them at that point) and very late-game, but I still find them to be rather pointless.

Errors: The only 'bug' (don't know if this is on purpose) that comes to mind, is that, after you beat the dragon, all areas are labeled as 'Volcano', and not their specific area names. If they are all supposed to have one name, you might want to change it to something else.

As for grammar... it's not the best. I can clearly see, that English isn't your primary language. This is especially noticeable in the description of the skill 'Great Tide'. It says "A great tide wash away current enemy", but it should be "A great tide washes away (the) current enemy". Some might perceive this as being nitpicky, but I greatly appreciate correct grammar in video games.
For this, I'd say that you should just try to get better at English (It's not my primary language either ;D), so that things like this don't happen anymore.

Difficulty: It's pretty easy, you have to watch out on the first five bosses, because your mage doesn't heal quickly enough, so you have to help him. Other than that, it's pretty easy. At about level 50-70, your characters are strong enough to beat the bosses by themselves (with the help of the skills 'Arrow to the Knee' and 'Battle Cry'. This lasted until level 150, where the boss is very strong and attacks extremely quickly. I died the first time in that battle. He didn't kill me again, though, so I guess I had bad luck with the Mage's healing spells and the boss's damage on my first time.

Overall, I'm giving this game four stars. I had my fun with it, and it was a relatively interesting experience, but it does have some problems.

This is pretty much all that comes to mind right now, and I think I already wrote enough. I hope that this review will be helpful, and I'm sorry if it's jumbled and weirdly written, as I very rarely write reviews.

Great game! Have my stars!
