Reviews for "Newgrounds' Illuminatimas"

I enjoyed it, definitely like Linty's 666 and psychosheep's pyramid.

(also the credit is my favorite :3)

(couldn't figure out how to get the secret medal though >3>)

It's really hurt my eye to unlock all medal but really good game

Hilarious game. Got all the medals! And yeah, while I do think there's really stuff going on with the higher-ups in various nations' governments.... butterflies? I really think the Denver airport and its apocalyptic horse statue with its seriously demonic gateway-to-Hell-butthole are creepy and weird as hell - but seriously, the conspiracy theorists are now throwing BUTTERFLIES into the mix? That's just wrooooong, man.

I really cracked up laughing when I did some very brief Google-search research, where one of the first links listed that one of the Illuminati's goals was to make as many converts to Christianity as possible. As a Christian myself, I found that hilarious, especially since a lot of Christians (myself included) really don't like what's going on with the country's government. I love how the conspiracy theorists point out all these bizarre, obscure symbols claiming that they're "ILLERMENADDY", considering that the Illuminati has as much originality as a 12-year-old Sonic the Hedgehog recolor artist on DeviantArt. I think all the symbols associated with them were pulled from SOMETHING that existed long before they ever did. Lololololol. Happy Kwanzaa and down with the white man and his eye... pyramid... thingies...

Next thing you know, they're gonna start saying the Illuminati created gallstones (though gallstones are from the 9th Circle of Hell, anyway).

Great game! Ha ha.

TurkeyOnAStick responds:

My problem with the Illuminati conspiracy is that it dehumanises people in media and higher positions of society because the conspiracy theorists can't appreciate how they got there.

It's easier to make a blanket claim that there is a secret society than to state that there are some people who either are smart and talented, and/or have connections via family or business. It encourages belief that there are monsters out for the destruction of society rather than acknowledging that they are fallible people like you and I; prone to greed, demonstrations of power or simply dumb decisions that affect a lot of people.

The danger of this kind of thinking is that it makes people feel insignificant and powerless, when they are not. I like to believe that there are opportunities out there for us to make a mark on the world, we just need to either grab them or create them.

And like you said, the references are silly. From the start of the project I never realised how many things could be considered an Illuminati reference, let alone how they're supposed to affect people subliminally.

... anyway, thanks for comment and glad you had fun with the game. Hope you're having a Happy Christmas, while I await the development of some gallstones in the New Year :)

Have you been Illuminati or nice?

TurkeyOnAStick responds:

... illuminati, sadly :(

Hope you're having a fun Christmas!
