Reviews for "Sentry Knight 2"

great all around, addicting, everything is pretty much perfect

I have to mention that is likely the most beautiful sequel I have ever seen; the colors are so lush and thick, and it really differentiates it from the first game. I am disappointed that you simplified the ability tree so grievously, cutting out both customization and real options on how to play. I do feel like the game became easy if I just went for upper level spells quickly in one tree and just upgraded arrows, so there is far less challenge; though you did create a cool difficulty slider to address that which was clever. The game feels simple and short, but I think the challenges could have used some variety; most levels had "dont take ___ damage" which were stale by the end. Overall still a really polished game, but not quite as good as the original.

amazing game, way better than the 1st

Inferior to the original. The graphics are prettiers but it lost it soul :
-Why are the secondary objectives so HARD to reach now ? It's like you want us to backtrack while before it was possible to reach them if you were skilled enough.
-It is INFURIATING that you force the player to spend their first hard earned XP into the first skills YOU want, just let me pick whatever I want I'm not dumb enough that I dont know how to play this kind of game. Stop babying the player.
-If you cant continue the game while the game is saving then why the hell do you make a big enormous button appear in front of the player and then denying him the possibility of clicking on it right away. The saving times are ludacris. Plenty of games manage to save the data of the player without prompting the game to stop. You could at least have made a transition screen that would have allowed the player to wait for the game to load. It just added to the frustration.
-The Experience Tree, when you're out of the baby area is actually a real pain, in the previous opus you had the possibility of growing different stats that would allow you to strenghten your archer. Now it's just magic. Sure, there is now a complete section for upgrades regarding your basic character stat, but then why the hell is there options to raise your HP or or the healing process of potions but not to do some actual damage ? I dont want to play a mage, I want to SHOOT at THINGS. I dont care about the ability bar as long as it's not abilities that upgrade your power. This is taking away so much possibilities. And it's forcing me into a kind of gameplay I dont want to do, always waiting for the magic spells to come back while the arrows are basically useless.
-Speaking of the magic spells, the ice spell is also horrendous, since the arrows are coming pretty slowly, it pushes back the ennemies, allowing me to miss them right after I shoot the arrow.
-I crashed the game because I pressed the "continue" button while the game was loading :/

Shame to see a perfectly good game turning into this. Not everyone wants to play mages.

A challenging defense game from step one! I thought difficulty would be progressive, but right from the first encounter you really need to aim right and cast spells at the right moments to keep those vicious foes at bay. Graphics are incredibly slick, as are transitions and controls. Looks like plenty of gameplay as well. Nice work!
