In short, I loved it. In long, read the rest of the review. Visually, this game is jaw dropping gorgeous. Everything's got a very sleek design to it with some of the very minute details like the lens flair on the lights really envelopes me into the world. The colors are a thing of beauty. The vibrancy is something to behold. Seriously, everything in this game is so damn gorgeous that I'd actually like to see a game that takes place in the reality at the start because even without the alien world, everything is still sleek and stylish.
Mechanically, I feel that the best way to convey something alien is through a point and click adventure game style because of the long touted history of those games having "moon logic". It brings the foreign and alien of point and click adventure games to its logical extreme with creating an entire new world around the "moon logic" of those games.
That said, I feel the puzzle difficulty was just right. Not too difficult but not insultingly easy. I'm not too ashamed to admit that I needed a walkthrough at a point or two, but it didn't harm the experience. I especially liked the sequences where you'd have to click and hold to have something happen like with the one small alien dude at the beginning. It toys with the average expectation of point and click adventure games that just normally have something happen with a very small click. Something as insignificant as clicking and holding made those segments feel like I had a certain unexplained power over the universe and I really dug that feeling.
Overall, I look forward to anything you make in the future. This was a stroke of brilliance.
