Reviews for "Burnt Plate"

Neat little game.

Pros: Liked the strategy and ability to equip and upgrade your units. Being able to build 'random' units to see if you could get the enemy parts was a nice touch. Battles were fairly well done, liked being able to split apart the targeting and then have everyone target a single unit.

Cons: A little short, cleared the whole thing in 30 minutes. Found myself that, once I hit level 3 in all equipment, I had little use for the money coming in. Fairly straightforward and simple; once I had everything upgraded, didn't need to think about how to attack the rest of the stages.

Other: It's a good flash, but has potential for much more. Maybe tossing in other pieces of equipment (a gun that temporarily disables enemies? a gun that heals your units? etc), maybe adding a few bonus missions (beat an optional boss, get a special unit), maybe a special mission (fight 3 waves back to back to defend your race's main base?), but all in all it's good. Could use some polishing, but pretty good, I liked it.

Like the game. 3 suggestions:

1: Allow crafting tables of our own to craft Materials we get from beating enemies(Which we can combine over and over to get higher tier ratings) along with level-ups for each crew member and weapons to become stronger in it's own but ONLY your selected Squad-Leader can get those level ups for him.

2: Allow PVP of leader vs leader up to a 6 v 6 leaders battles with TOTAL CONTROL over our Leader's Abilities and such.

3: Give us training missions that we can always keep repeating to grind if we need to.

the game started tweaking out on me and completely broke when I started a level. it was just scrolling between pause and reset and all the skills at the top and the enemy terrain was flashing blue and white. I tried to exit to menu but it wouldn't let me. it might have been because I put down a tank with just the body and no cockpit or anything else. I couldn't figure out how to remove it though. otherwise game seemed pretty good.

Hi, your review helped me a lot to find a dumb bug where the game crash if you try to fight with an incomplete unit. That bug is fixed now. Thanks for the feedback.

I liked this game, and once it gets the kinks worked out, I think it will be a lot of fun!

I know one thing that was somewhat confusing for me was replacing my units. Once I got more familiar with it, it was better, but that involved a trial and error. For example, attempting to buy what I thought were new bodies, but turned out to be cockpits was somewhat frustrating. I think (unless I missed it somewhere, which is possible) a classification for items under "Base" next to their name/price/stats would help that a lot.

I also had to stop playing my union campaign when a bug occurred. When I would attempt to start my next mission, regardless of which I chose, my side of the field would be an empty forest, the opposing side would be a spinning roulette of the other terrains (also empty) and the ability sections were flashing roulette as well. Nothing could be played, and I had to refresh the page. It took me back to my units and started me back with 100 BP, but now I cannot start missions, though I haven't tried starting one of the other campaigns instead as of yet (I still kind of have a headache from trying to play the union one.

All in all, a lot of fun, bugs just need to be reworked, and maybe the Base shop could use some adjustments for user friendliness. Really liking your game, so thanks for making it and releasing it here!

Hi, it took some time but I think the bug that you experienced is gone. I'll try to improve the game soon. Thank you for the feedback.

Decent game... but really annoying you have to buy a FACTORY to build up your squad. And I did like the fact that if a unit of yours died, they stayed dead. Added to the challenge. It's a minus for not in-game explanations of all the ins and outs
