Reviews for "Tripping"

Strange strange strange story.
The model and texture quality is really good though.
But there's a problem with your hair simulator, that or you need to revise the hair textures.
Animation isn't that great either, but you show a lot of promise ^^
Keep making and keep improving!

ThilakanathanStudios responds:

There's a lot in terms of character animation that I need to learn. I'll focus more on the hair and animation (and obviously the story) in my next film! Thanks Tattorack for the helpful feedback and great to know the models and texture quality was good!

Very engaging :)

ThilakanathanStudios responds:

Thanks! Glad you liked :)

Definitely gets at least a 4 star just for the difficulty in making 3D model kinds of movies.

I think voice actors really would have helped this a lot. I will assume you made this yourself and couldn't find suitable voice actors or didn't want to deal with lip syncing issues. Even if the mouths don't look right it would have been better to have voice actors though, especially since this is not otherwise a silent film (it has sound effects, etc...).

The text is a bit hard to read in places as well.

The lack of voice acting combined with the difficulty to read the text in some cases is where the minus star comes from.

Model movement looked a bit wonky, but I understand that may be a difficult thing to get right so no penalty there.

ThilakanathanStudios responds:

Thanks a lot NeonSpider for the useful feedback! I didn't use voice actors as I made this film on my own (as you rightly guessed). Finding voice actors were not easy and I couldn't do it myself as I'm not a convincing voice actor and would have probably made the film even more unwatchable.
I'll take you're feedback to heart and look to improve in my next film, especially the mouth and character movements!
