The best game I've played in Newgrounds since SOOOO LONG!! Loves how I could use my xbox controller and I loved the diffculty! But the best was the depth of the story, how some secrets were uncovered and how everything was connected! SIMPLY LOVED IT!

omg i love this game so much!! and also tips for winning the boss (adult sand dragon)
when you're about to put bomb in its mouth , sacrifice yourself , avoid moving.
and remember to bring lots of food.
and btw to get lots of money , buy the gold bar , it's around 50-70g and give it to the seller , you'll get moar gold :v

This is a great game !
But... I have 12 moonstone and Fran still says that I have to accumulate 5 :/

This game was really well done, it felt like a good classic platformer game. Not like those usual casual games you see everyone online. This is a real, true game.

I really loved the art style of this game, along with how you designed the stages, enemies, and characters. Every platform, every area to explore, it was awesome.

The music was fantastic, fitting well with each area, scene, or room. It set great atmosphere in each stage and area.

I have to say, if you we're to sell this game somewhere online for a few bucks, I'd buy it, to support your talents and to have a client on my computer to play without using a browser.

I can't wait for your sequel.

Amazing game! I await the next installment with eager anticipation. This is something I would have easily paid money for if I knew what I was buying, and I do not buy platformers all that often. The story was great, the controls were smooth and intuitive, the gameplay was fun, and the soundtrack was amazing. I love how the game progressed in difficulty and complexity from start to finish; the learning curve felt flawless. Even the story line followed a similar path, graduating from simple responsibility for your family up to responsibility for the fate of your hometown and eventually the entire world. It also felt very reminiscent of Legend of Zelda games, wherein you find an item in a dungeon and then use that item, almost exclusively, to defeat the dungeon boss and solve the dungeon puzzles. I love that.

If I had one complaint it would be the difficulty in getting out of places quickly. Once you are invested in a particular town or dungeon, it takes an equal amount of travel to get out as it took to get in. Thankfully none of them are labyrinths or too massive, otherwise hunting for all of the heart rubies would have been a nightmare. After a while I started to consider the length of time it would take to remove myself from a dungeon before giving it a second look, and I think that shouldn't really be a concern in a game with collectibles. I greatly enjoyed the teleporters on the final stage, and I feel that they came at a good time. You might consider adding a quick travel button to leave dungeons and towns quickly or, if such a button already exists, making it more obvious for players.

Altogether this is one of the best games I have played on Newgrounds.
