Reviews for "Vex 3"

not bad

Im done playing Vex 2 and this game loading is so slow but its great nice game and Vex 2 too! all of the Vex games and all of the newgrounds games is so great...

hate this game so bad... it makes me so mad...

Challenging, intense, fast-paced, and ANGERING, just like the other games in the series.

Basic but decent graphics, fun electronic music and plenty of sound effects make the presentation of this game similar to that of earlier games in the series, but this one feels like it has a lot more detail, for whatever reason. It feels like more work went into the special effects, especially when the character dies and his limbs fly everywhere.

This game's gameplay is, in its core concept, just like the rest of the series: reach a destination by running, jumping, ducking and avoinding traps, optionally remembering to gather stars and other secrets in each stage. There are a few novel features that make this game slightly different than its predecessors, though. The most interesting of them is that now you can, once beating a stage with a gold score, face an advanced version of the stage that is a few thousand times more frustrating. Then there's also all different kinds of new obstacles and features that are pretty cool, but I don't know how I'd go into describing them textually.

The stage design consists mostly of setups and sections requiring fast reaction times and accurate movement, just like in the other games of the series, but there are a few parts in which thinking plays a strong role. For instance, there is this one part (I think it was in act 5 or so, but I don't know) where you're on a crate over a block of ice, and you have to figure out what to do with that crate in order to proceed, and it took me a while to figure out I had to kick it out of danger to use to get across an obstacle in the next part of the level. The levels in this game are composed of a nearly even mix of fun and frustration, with some fast-paced parts giving you that exhilaration and satisfaction of surviving a dangerous section by crossing it quickly, while other parts will take a few times to get right.

With all that said (and I've been prolixious in my recent reviews), all that's left to say is that, yes, I enjoyed this game.

Really great game! I love it and I like how it gets progressively harder the more farther you get. It has a nice difficulty curve. The music adds a very nice touch to it also. The artwork in it is very nicely done.

One thing I found hard was the HUB. I like the idea of how there is obstacles in the way while you are trying to get to the acts. But it really wasn't that much of a problem since you can teleport to them.

It's a really nice game with Vex and Vex 2.
