Reviews for "Pride and Punishment"

Game completely died at the first boss.
at the end of the level beforehand it said "game over" at the end of it.
after restarting I was in the boss room, the boss was rapidly altering between two poses.
"OK" I thought to myself "let's ignore this, kill the glitched boss and see how the rest of the game plays" only to find my arrows stuck in the air in front of me and doing no damage.
Disappointed I walked to the edge of the level, where I found the portcullis was glitched too and I could pass through it. only to experience a game-over screen. Hoping that the game may sort itself out I pressed restart, only for it to put me back at the start of the level with nothing changed.

Great work but finishes on a glitch, this annoys me.

Being unfinished is the biggest problem here... I like so many things about it - graphics are wonderfully stripped-down, the music is great... And SirUndead did great job with the intro - the first thing that came to my mind was "Damn! Discount, young Liam Neeson!" ;)

So what's wrong wit P&P? Well, the "unfinished" thing is kind of painful (mostly because the game itself is really good) and there are some minor glitches (most of them mentioned by Utahmimin, I had some problems with jumping - the Archer freezed in the air a couple of times, but it could be because of my Internet connection or Flash Player... not necessarily a problem with the game itself).

I think it's a pretty solid game on it's own right, but one thing ticks me off a bit:
(aside from the game being incomplete, and that the wrap-up to the end isn't solid. It ends with a glitch. That's a no-no)
Not sure about this, but if I lose one heart in one map, in the next map it shows a full set of hearts. But, if I get hit again, it shows that I've taken two hits. So it doesn't display health accordingly respective to how many hearts you actually have.
But, like already stated, it's a pretty solid game in it's own right, in general.

Could use a intro. Trying to listen to the story/ dialog with the awesome but a little too loud music (for the dialog, not the game) while the game is already in play was too distracting. The intro could be just text of the dialog with maybe the instruction to game play as you mention in author`s comments.
