This game takes a fairly simple premise and uses it to show a variety of different mechanics that all work surprisingly well. Most of the dimensions are given their own mechanic that you have to figure out, and even then it usually involves you walking on the walls differently, it still comes across as unique. I would have liked to see a bit more melding of these mechanics, since you usually just see it once and then it's done, but it's still impressive that you managed to work them all into one game and had it fit the narrative.

There was a pretty good variety of equipment for a flash game. Even later one, you'll have to make a choice in melee weapons between pure power, or lesser powered swords with special abilities. It's a nice touch. The magic was equally varied, to the point where I'd never truly be able to pick the "best" spell. All the main types operate differently. so by the end I was carrying around three different magic-based weapons to use based on what I was facing, which is how this type of game should be.

The gameplay was smooth for the most part, although landing on single blocks was a pain. However, that's more likely to be player error than game error.

The story was pretty much non-existent, an opening cutscene and nothing else. It'd have been nice to see a little progression, but I understand space and time constraints.

The enemy selection was ok, but all the enemy types were revealed pretty early on, especially on the hard levels. Having a few more creatures to spring on players in the last stages would have added a little more variety, especially when demons, the hardest creatures, only pose a huge threat when they appear in some place that's hard to fight in.

Overall, it's a really good game.
