Reviews for "Night Strike Infiltrators"

i think characters and items, like barrels and stuff, are way too small. they should pop more, because they're not merely decorative objects. i'd like to see a wider variety of enemies, and they shouldn't be so similar to me.
music is perfect, though!
p.s.: why black platforms? :-(
anyway i appreciate your efforts, good luck!

Wolod responds:

I like tiny sprites, perhaps :) Idea was that your enemies are the mercenaries just like you. They only work for another organization and wear another uniform.
As for the music: I like industrial and I thought it would perfectly fit into the setting of grim future.
P.S.: Platforms are black because I wanted to create the atmosphere of covert operations during night. And black color looks good on the dark blue background to my opinion.

When you get the hang of it, it can be a really fun game. The art style is atmospheric and fits it really well.

The only thing I would say is that the difficult spikes really rapidly between the early levels. It would be good to introduce a few mechanics at a time more slowly so the player can learn to be awesome at it.

Wolod responds:

Thanks for feedback! I like those games where player has to figure advanced mechanics by himself. I hate that casual modern games where first half of the game it seems that you're playing tutorial :D
I also created a walkthrough video (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Jeafi3c-bpE) to help players that might experience troubles on later levels.

Nice artwork and game play. Could use some polishing up on the controls though. Your character moves too fast.

Wolod responds:

Thanks! His movement speed is his advantage against enemies. Game was intended to be fast paced.

Cool game, I liked it. Medium difficulty, lots of fun.
Also, in my opinion, the speed of the character is
good. Definitely deserves more than 3 stars.

Some criticism - the upgrade system: I could
upgrade fully only after completing the game. Now
this is somewhat useless, don't you think? I am fully
upgraded, but I already passed the game.

A sequel might be good.

Wolod responds:

Thanks for review! I'm glad that you've liked it. I thought that it would be fun to re-run the game with ease with fully upgraded character :D

The guy moves WAY too fast for the size of the levels. Makes him really hard to control. The first boss is basically impossible, the turrets are insanely op, and the upgrades are basically useless. Oh and there is no way to beat the level times for the extra points. Even with perfect movement through a level it still never beats the times.

Wolod responds:

The guy moves fast ENOUGH to beat time goal. Every level was thoroughly tested. First boss is simple to kill if you understand how. I'll give you a clue: he starts to attack you, climb up, after 3 shots he'll turn back and shoot 3 times again, after this shots climb down behind him and shoot his back while he is shooting 3 last shots. I don't understand why the upgrades were useless for you. It's easier to beat time goals (which are impossible for you for some reason) with larger ammo clip because you'll lose less time on reloads for e.g.
As I told in disclaimer: "This game is hard. If you don't like fast-paced platformers maybe it would be better for your mental health to avoid this game xD"
