I really enjoyed playing this game. I thought it was very well done and I greatly enjoyed working towards the upgrades.
However, I didn't realize that the skulls and arrows meant that that room would be a boss battle. I didn't realize until I picked up all possible upgrades and had no way of progressing.
Nevertheless, I really enjoyed this game, but I think it would have been great if after having searched through a zone, a map could have been created as each area was discovered.

Thanks; a map was something I considered for a long while. Ultimately, the decision to leave it out was based on the medal for exploring the entire world. Adding a map would've made that very trivial. However, I hadn't thought of unlocking the map for a zone once cleared. A great suggestion and something I will keep in mind in the future.
pretty cool. i think it needs directional shooting a la binding of isaac, as well as a minimap.
i thought the gameplay and diversity of enemies was very well done, but the game was so difficult that i never even found an upgrade box (?)
perhaps consider just allowing the player to upgrade at the start point or through a menu. i had like 30-40 points and was entirely unable to use them

When you first begin the game (New Game) the flashing beacon will lead you to the first upgrade box. You need 5 power cells to open it.
This game was pretty fun. You put a lot of effort into this game.
A little fun but it gets boring fast
