Reviews for "Scrap Metal"

Rock, Paper, Scissors? No, that can't be right. Rocket, Pounder, Sizzler. Yeah, nothing interesting here. The dialogue just started to piss me off around the second fight. But you threw in a skip button, kudos. animations were okay. Why all the additional controls? Seemed like I was trying to entertain myself while the game figured out if I won or lost. Still went all the way with the game though, so it's easy enough that anyone can plow through it.

DarkTimmy responds:

Thanks for checking it out. I look at it and see many places to improve but I am super happy to have gotten it out so I can see the thing clearly! Thank you for the play and the comment! I appreciate your time! Best, -Tim

This game needs a graphical overhaul. The entire combat system needs to be reworked in such a way to involve some sort of actual skill and gameplay. The opponents get the benefit of reacting to my moves, but I can only sit and watch them pummel my robot.

I like the idea of this kind of game, but this is a long way away. As of now, it's just a fancy version of Rock, Paper, Scissors.

DarkTimmy responds:

Thanks for the comment. The interesting thing you mention is the type of game. The whole idea struck me one day and I felt this urge to develop the idea and get it out. I feel like there is something really interesting in this game BUT I agree it might need a few more iterations to really hit it's stride. I think as it stands right now there are some really fun moments and a glimmer of something possibly tremendous down the line. Making it gave me a LOT of ideas about where I could take it. Thanks for playing and dropping a comment ! I appreciate it! Best, -Tim

It's a guessing game. At least that's what I experienced -.-'

No real skill needed I guess, just luck, am I right?

DarkTimmy responds:

Thanks for playing! You know what's strange, there are patterns for the bosses. They have specific round to round tendencies they always follow. That said - there is an element of randomness to mix things up. I appreciate the feedback though and thanks for playing! Best, -Tim

Love the idea. Hate the system.

DarkTimmy responds:

HAHAAHAH! I know - I think that is the same way I feel. There is a lot of good potential there but it is kinda unrealized! Thanks for the comment and the play! I appreciate it. Best, -Tim

This is retarded. Its just random rock paper scissors. I have gotten through 10 levels, but not a single new arm. Its pure luck

DarkTimmy responds:

You might be surprised (or pleased) to know I read all comments and I APPRECIATE them. That said - I will work to improve and make my future games better. I might get a Scrap Metal update in there too! Scrap Metal was finished over 6 months ago so I have moved on to other projects like the PC version of Boss 101. I'll do what I can but as I mentioned - thank you for taking a moment to write! Best, -Tim
