Reviews for "Scrap Metal"

Far too much is left to sheer luck. There is no real strategy - ergo it requires no true thought to get through the game... just willpower. I think that this could be re-done much, much better.

DarkTimmy responds:

Agree! Working on making it better and possibly a huge update to the AI. That said, thanks for the comment and the play! Best, -Tim

This is retarded. Its just random rock paper scissors. I have gotten through 10 levels, but not a single new arm. Its pure luck

DarkTimmy responds:

You might be surprised (or pleased) to know I read all comments and I APPRECIATE them. That said - I will work to improve and make my future games better. I might get a Scrap Metal update in there too! Scrap Metal was finished over 6 months ago so I have moved on to other projects like the PC version of Boss 101. I'll do what I can but as I mentioned - thank you for taking a moment to write! Best, -Tim

You have so much more potential than this, your last games have been hilarious fun fests. This is just lame.

STEVE and max would be disappointed.

DarkTimmy responds:

Well, you are certainly entitled to your opinion and I won't argue this game has more potential to be realized. I think sometimes it's nice to take a chance with something new and not so perfect. I learned a lot from Scrap Metal and some of it was what NOT to do so that helps. I'm onto a Boss 101 sequel but I like Scrap Metal and Dan Devil even though neither were huge hits. That said, thanks for the comment and the play! Best, -Tim

The effort put into this deserves the frontpage it got

DarkTimmy responds:

HA! Thanks! I think it could use some improvements for sure but I'm so glad you liked it!
Thanks for the comment and the play! I appreciate it! Best, -Tim

This game needs a graphical overhaul. The entire combat system needs to be reworked in such a way to involve some sort of actual skill and gameplay. The opponents get the benefit of reacting to my moves, but I can only sit and watch them pummel my robot.

I like the idea of this kind of game, but this is a long way away. As of now, it's just a fancy version of Rock, Paper, Scissors.

DarkTimmy responds:

Thanks for the comment. The interesting thing you mention is the type of game. The whole idea struck me one day and I felt this urge to develop the idea and get it out. I feel like there is something really interesting in this game BUT I agree it might need a few more iterations to really hit it's stride. I think as it stands right now there are some really fun moments and a glimmer of something possibly tremendous down the line. Making it gave me a LOT of ideas about where I could take it. Thanks for playing and dropping a comment ! I appreciate it! Best, -Tim
