Reviews for "Scrap Metal"

Fun! reminded me of that game Rock'em Sock'em Robots! at first i was confused on what to do, (forgot to read the instructions) but later it caught on! i liked the audience, i am not sure if that is a reference of Boss 101 since the charaters reminded me of them! the different choices of arms to use to fight people was pretty cool! also the game reminded me of Rock, Paper, Scissors! good job on the game!

Aw man - thanks so much ! I enjoyed the game a lot and in the end I would love to come back to it and have another go at it. I don't know when that would be! Great video too! Made me laugh! best, -Tim

I can't say I like it a lot. There really is no strategy after the first three fights. Maybe there is strategy in choosing the correct fist down the road, but when you reach the bulldozer, it just seems completely unfair that his stats are extremely high). I think I may have fought the fifth robot 15 times before I won and I'm not about to spend 50 tries trying to beat Bulldozer. It is also extremely annoying to have to choose the 10 options when a random button would be better and quicker. The choice option also doesn't hold much value when three hits from nearly any of your opponents attacks can kill you. Still, the art and gameplay are solid and I haven't found any bugs.

DarkTimmy responds:

Yeah, I'm actually thinking of an update to address that. I'm looking at some options to enhance the basic play - a random button is interesting. It's weird, the game balance seemed OK while testing but you know how things can go from test to ship and suddenly the thing you thought was no big deal is utter crap! HAHAHAH! DANG IT! Thank you for checking it out. Glad you took a moment to play it! Best, -Tim

Loved this game, Timmy! Great work!

DarkTimmy responds:

That's really nice of you to say! Thank you and I think it's one of those games I am very glad I did though I look at it and think of things I want to improve! HAHAH! I appreciate your time! Best, -Tim

Sounds are annoying after a while, and the Game isnt really new at itself, is it?
Also 2 Stars.

DarkTimmy responds:

Thanks for the play! I appreciate you giving it a go! Mos-def there is room for improvement! Best, -Tim

Rock, Paper, Scissors? No, that can't be right. Rocket, Pounder, Sizzler. Yeah, nothing interesting here. The dialogue just started to piss me off around the second fight. But you threw in a skip button, kudos. animations were okay. Why all the additional controls? Seemed like I was trying to entertain myself while the game figured out if I won or lost. Still went all the way with the game though, so it's easy enough that anyone can plow through it.

DarkTimmy responds:

Thanks for checking it out. I look at it and see many places to improve but I am super happy to have gotten it out so I can see the thing clearly! Thank you for the play and the comment! I appreciate your time! Best, -Tim
