The stories are great, but sure are slow! Perhaps there can be some series with shorter chapters, but less delay between chapters? Just an idea.
Also, I'm starting to see that there are enough stories to justify a search bar for them... Would that be a problem to implement? Possibly a favorite story button? Also... Perhaps an area (separately labeled to avoid confusion) for less talented authors who can't/won't make it go on forever would attract more authors? The idea of StoryShift is amazing, and I'm quite glad to see this!
Anyways, the stories seem to be VERY well written , especially for a flash game. To sum it up:
+
•The stories are masterpieces!
•They leave you wanting MORE, like when you've finished the first book in a good series and you await the release of the second.
•The entire system makes all of the stories much more dynamic, where the reader can influence exactly what path the story takes.
-
•There is a seemingly small amount of stories (but just enough to make finding any particular one a burden), especially when you look at an individual genre on it's own.
•The stories have a slow progression.
Ideas for improvement:
•Adding an option for less skilled authors who won't/can't stay dedicated to their works to still do it, with readers forewarned that it might not stay active forever.
•A search bar and/or favorite stories system for easy access to one's favorite stories.
•Adding some stories that are shorter in chapter length, but come out more frequently as a result.
My final rating for this game is a 5/5 and 10/10! Of course, some things can be improved, but it's an amazing system that can bring in readers of all genres, and make the entire text be more dynamic!
