Reviews for "StoryShift"

A great piece of work. Well... I have one suggestion. Maybe we could also vote to "blam" a chapter and replace it with something else? I dunno maybe? And fans that actually liked the "blammed" chapter could vote to "unblam" it? And one more thing, can you add 2 more writers to speed things up?

Anyway... Thanks for the great Game/Visual novel/Comic or whatever you claim it to be.

Evil-Dog responds:

each story has its own writer and no I can't allow blaming a chapter, are you nuts lol writers work hard on their chapters, not gonna throw it out the window

A very good "game", but lately there are less and less updates and some where even dropped.

Evil-Dog responds:

yeah one was dropped cause the author dissappeared, and yeah, authors have significantly lowered their pace, I don'T control that, good news though, a new comic is coming out today and a new story in the work

I've only one request for this: find a way to create a comment section for each story.

Evil-Dog responds:

yeah the comment system is coming, it's gonna be per page too

The stories are great, but sure are slow! Perhaps there can be some series with shorter chapters, but less delay between chapters? Just an idea.
Also, I'm starting to see that there are enough stories to justify a search bar for them... Would that be a problem to implement? Possibly a favorite story button? Also... Perhaps an area (separately labeled to avoid confusion) for less talented authors who can't/won't make it go on forever would attract more authors? The idea of StoryShift is amazing, and I'm quite glad to see this!

Anyways, the stories seem to be VERY well written , especially for a flash game. To sum it up:

+

•The stories are masterpieces!

•They leave you wanting MORE, like when you've finished the first book in a good series and you await the release of the second.

•The entire system makes all of the stories much more dynamic, where the reader can influence exactly what path the story takes.

-

•There is a seemingly small amount of stories (but just enough to make finding any particular one a burden), especially when you look at an individual genre on it's own.

•The stories have a slow progression.

Ideas for improvement:

•Adding an option for less skilled authors who won't/can't stay dedicated to their works to still do it, with readers forewarned that it might not stay active forever.

•A search bar and/or favorite stories system for easy access to one's favorite stories.

•Adding some stories that are shorter in chapter length, but come out more frequently as a result.

My final rating for this game is a 5/5 and 10/10! Of course, some things can be improved, but it's an amazing system that can bring in readers of all genres, and make the entire text be more dynamic!

Evil-Dog responds:

Thanks for the feedback, the way it works is that I work with writers awesomely willing to keep up with the updates so I can't really force them to writer at a faster pace, they work at their pace :) It can be hard to make small chapters, without making the story progress a bit.
Yeah favorites, search bar, "amateur" story section, are all in the todolist. The next thing coming though is the comment system :)

We'll keep improving :) Thanks for the nice feedback.

this is a great way to make kids read im 14 and I dont read much this changes thing in the future maybe I will be a writer

Evil-Dog responds:

That's awesome to hear! Keep reading :D
