Reviews for "Naya's Quest"

Some people don't seem to have grasped the basics of this game...

I think it's great. The art and music are good but nothing special, and the gameplay is wonderful. Once I started getting bored of using the cross-section device, I reached the final rooms and loved all the one-off gimmicks in each one. My only real complaints are that the life system is pointless and should be removed, and that the aforementioned final rooms overshadow the rest of the game in terms of enjoyment.

Good atmosphere, okay graphics, great innovative puzzles; 5/5.

The atmosphere is great. There is a little bit of mystery, enough to keep people satisfied, -ish, compounded by the music, which allows for relaxation and intrigue.
The graphics could've been better to allow for a slightly more puzzle like feel. As it is now, it felt slightly lacking. The lack of detail may have been right for the puzzles themselves, but they should not have been so for the character itself, or the world. By allowing for such a juxtaposition, it would be much more clear that the world is literally falling apart, with a full and complete character exploring closer to the edge as it is unravelling into simple blocks and ultimately, a void.

The puzzles however, are damn clever. I never had a problem with isometric views, and I assume neither did most people. The simplicity of the blocks themselves (which you should keep), however, allowed for such amazing illusions. The puzzles became an exercise in both creating a 3d world and how this is an illusion, as well as how one should move around in it. Very nice.
However, because of that, I must tell you that the new game+ mode, was much easier than the normal game, as spinning around allowed to finally understand how it looked like exactly (I was wrong on multiple occasions), but this also made it extremely easy to move around. The new game+ mode was easier than normal mode, with it's restricted (adding to the atmosphere) way of viewing the world.

It is clear that this is just a part one, so please make more :D

5/5

Love the game, the puzzle are refreshing. In my first run and I bumped into the purple rooms, I was like WTF, but I really enjoyed it. I don't know if you put a message through this game or not but being analytical, I got some deep thoughts out of it.

Great job!

clever - not everyone will understand it
if you look for an RPG like game, you won't find it here

So boooooring ! Great design though, but hell of a pain in the *ss to play !
