Reviews for "Aurorae"

Game has a delayed reaction when pushing a direction and then jump. A game that is just a platform jumper should at least make the controls react seamlessly.

semaphor responds:

There shouldn't be any delayed reaction now or before the 2nd update, pm me more details so I can sort out the issue.

Occasional pauses on a crap computer. Never was killed by them, but they were annoying, and I could have been killed by them. Still... not as buggy as other folks have claimed.

I had no clue about the story until the very end. I did get a sense of escape during the latter quarter of the game, but I didn't really understand what I was escaping from.

The game is built on physics that I (and apparently others) don't like. No sense of acceleration or momentum. The most popular platformers of the last few years (N-Game, Super Meat Boy, Fancy Pants Adventure, Terraria, etc) all have more complex physics. Perhaps we gamers are spoiled.

semaphor responds:

Hmm game didn't experience any issues on my cheap laptop, any other details you can tell me in a pm?

the movements aren't working that well

semaphor responds:

Update applied to help with this, pm me what you think of it.

Concept is okay, but there is a lot of bugs that you need to fix. The one that irritated me the most was the random complete stop in movement with both running and jumping. Definitely fix the obvious bugs in a game before you release it, otherwise you'll get a reputation of making bad games.

semaphor responds:

Not sure what you mean by complete stop unless you mean releasing the arrow keys, as there is no horizontal movement acceleration in this game. Update done improves on jumping if that's one of the other bugs you were talking of.

Controls suck

semaphor responds:

See update 2 in the description.
